NVR/POE camera advantages
NVR is called network camera storage, mainly for products such as network camera and DVR.
The main function is to receive the digital video stream transmitted by IPC (network camera), DVS (video encoder) and other equipment through the network, and to store and manage it. Its core value lies in video middleware. Through video middleware, it is widely compatible with the encoding formats of different digital devices of various manufacturers, so as to realize the advantages of distributed architecture and componentized access brought by networking. Therefore, storage is not the main advantage of NVR.
Some NVRs on the market now start to use storage as a gimmick to attract customers. At this time, everyone may forget the disk array device. Disk array means “cheap and redundant disk array”. The principle is to use the array method to make the disk group, and cooperate with the design of data scattered arrangement to improve the security of the data. The disk array is composed of many cheap, small-capacity, high-stability, and slow-speed disks, combined into a large disk group, and uses the bonus effect of individual disks to provide data to enhance the performance of the entire disk system.
Its advantage is to increase the transmission rate; at the same time, it provides fault tolerance through data verification.
